In my never-ending quest for ingredients to prepare unique pickles, I came across this tangy Indian berry, gunda, also known as gum berry. Mostly found in the dry states of Rajasthan and Gujarat, Gunde ka Achaar is pretty famous in that region.

But how about adding a punch of raw mangoes to this Marwari pickle to make it even more flavourful? Yes, that’s what Aam Gunde ka Achar is all about. Packed with robust flavours from a wide variety of spices and a combination of raw mangoes and gum berries, this pickle is all you need to make your summer meals more exciting.

After processing the gunde in the right way by washing and wiping them dry carefully to take out the natural glue, it gets added to the raw mango pieces and marinated with salt and turmeric powder. It further gets treated with mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, Kashmiri red chilli powder, Reshampatti chilli powder, asafetida, and peppercorns tempered in mustard oil.

The variety of pickle recipes revolving around mango is uncountable but each has a unique flavour that speaks of the land of its origin. Gujarati cuisine is all about the right blend of sweet and spicy and so is their Golkeri Pickle.
Golkeri is a sweet and spicy mango pickle made of two major ingredients, raw mango and jaggery. Jaggery in the Gujarati language is known as ‘gol’ and raw mango is called ‘keri’ and that’s how the pickle got its name.Do you already feel that salivating tickle in your mouth? Yes, we understand. And thus, we bring to you the Golkeri Pickle, made in the most traditional way.

Fresh juicy, tangy, and crunchy raw mangoes are cut and marinated in salt and organic turmeric powder overnight. The shrunken mangoes are then mixed with a good dose of some best quality jaggery along with roasted spices such as red chilli, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, cumin powder, and mustard oil to bring back their lusciousness with an added punch of flavours. This heavenly mix is then sundried for over a week to bring out the best flavour and taste.

Our StreetStyle series of pickles have been a great hit amongst our pickle lovers. All the pickles from this series are made north-Indian/punjabi style and pack a powerful punch which will surely elevate your pickle experience.

Lemons are around almost throughout the year and that is the reason this pickle is made in super small batches. We have kept the lemon pieces quite small so that the spices get more surface area to be absorbed into the pieces.

The sweet aroma of sweet fennel seeds and sharpness of mustard oil are balanced with bitterness and sourness of lemons. All in all, it is a match made in heaven. Probably this is the reason I have always seen at least a jar of this pickle in our pantry for as long as I can remember and I am over thirty years old.

Please note that this pickle is not to be confused with sweet & sour digestive lemon pickle which is usually darker in color. This pickle is absolutely “masaledaar” and “chatkaredaar”, goes perfect with a simple paratha or poori as well.

This pickle is made by “Thakur and Verma Foods” – a collaboration by Pratyush Thakur and Abhinav Verma. After working as engineers in multiple metros for few years, both of us were pulled to Himachal Pradesh due to our love for Himalayas (which is where our ancestral roots lie as well!). We are based out of Kangra Valley and we make our creations in our homes here. We wanted to bring out the best flavors of Himachal Pradesh and what better way to start out with our first product as “Chicken Pickle“.

As hard-core food lovers from our hearts, having eaten in over 25+ Indian states, we wanted to create something that caters to the diversity of India. After various recipe iterations, we proudly locked down our recipe from the foothills of Dhauladhar Ranges in Kangra Valley.

This particular variant is a “100% low fat chicken breast boneless” version. We have only one source of chicken and we personally source the chicken breast directly from a local free range farm house in Kangra Valley, Himachal Pradesh. All the herbs and spices(15+) are sourced from local manufacturers. It is cooked in 100% premium grade “Kachhi Ghani” mustard oil for 3+ hours over slow flame. Throughout the cooking process, we make sure all WHO guidelines are followed to remove any possible contaminants. We also monitor the cooking temperature carefully (>90 F is maintained for an hour at least).

As the name suggests, a trio of fresh raw turmeric, juicy lemons, and spicy green chilies makes gastronomical heaven in the world of pickles, especially when there is absolutely no use of oil in the process of pickling.

This pickle is loaded with immunity-boosting properties of fresh turmeric, vitamin C from lemons, and iron from green chilies. The anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of fresh turmeric reduce the risk of various chronic diseases. Also, this pickle is prepared without using any oil which makes it desirable and irresistible.
