Woh Kagaz ki kashti….
woh baarish ka paani…
There’s something in the air every year in July that makes us Indians crave the indigenous deep-fried delights called Batata Vada. It doesn’t matter if it’s a drizzle or pouring rain, that single drop of water splashing on dry ground just makes our hearts scream out for a large plate of these fried beauties.
This weather just adds to the romance of batata vadas and chai, and there aren’t many who can resist these crunchy fritters. And what a variety of these we have in this country! From vadapao in Maharasthra to aloochops in West Bengal to Aloo bonda down south, the names differ but always evoke that smell of crispy, deep-fried vadas.
Yes, vadas are that rooted in our sense and palate. Take any plate of vadas, and you’ll understand that it isn’t just another food item. It’s a centre piece for everything from conversations to celebrations. And monsoon is the season that turns us into a nation full of vada-craving people.
Batata Vada, iconic potato fritter from the streets of Mumbai, Batata Vada, is one of the most scrumptious Street Food you will ever eat! Golden and crispy on the outside, divinely delicious on the inside! This is a very delicious snack as nothing can beat the taste of deeply fried potatoes. Batata Vada can also be used in Vada Pav, which is the most famous Maharashtrian street food.
Batata Vadas & Vada Pav are so tempting that I have it at least once a week. I need this fast food when it is raining, when it is cold & chill. In fact it is welcome any time!! Totally authentic taste and ready in a jiffy soon becoming our family fav
This mix is such a life-saver and mood lifter. Last Sunday, i made batata vadas instantly for my family when it started to rain like cats and dogs. The flavours are bang on… Roasted garlic takes the flavours to another level.
Best part is that i didn’t have to waste time over boiling and peeling. It’s such a relief, especially when you have a huge family. This pack was super filling and suffient for 6 of us. It is super super economical and delicious. Simply loved it!
