At Bhavna Earthfarm, we believe that in today’s times it has become the need to get back to our roots and live life with a different prospective. “Bhavna Earthfarm” is a women based initiative to revive and promote traditional recipes. All our recipes are tried and tested for years.
This Banarasi Lal Mirch Pickle is a beloved recipe from my friend’s Bua in Bihar, passed down with love and care. Whole red chillies are carefully cleaned, deseeded, and then sun-dried for 2–3 days. Once ready, they are stuffed with dry-roasted masalas and gently soaked in mustard oil after 4–5 days each chilli placed thoughtfully, one at a time.
The process is slow and deeply traditional, requiring time, patience, and a generous dash of love. It brings back the charm of those courtyard afternoons, when neighbours gathered to make pickles together, sharing stories, laughter, and the simple joys of community life.
Pairs beautifully with poories, parathas, mathri, rice, and kachoris adding a fiery, flavorful kick to every bite.
