Description
Juiciest amlas or Indian gooseberries are handpicked, washed thoroughly, and slowly cooked with spices and jaggery until all its moisture has been evaporated. It requires hours of continuous stirring. The paste is then left for cooling and once brought to room temperature, they are hand-rolled into small balls and coated with powdered sugar. This is done in very small batches so that each goli is made to perfection and rolled with love and care. Individual goli are packed in butter paper to retain its dryness and flavour.

Store in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight. It is natural for the outer powdered sugar to be absorbed by the goli in a high humidity environment.

I love the flavour of the digestive amla goli but I absolutely hate – HATE – the paper wrapping. The oils/ juices/ stickiness of the goli itself seeps into the paper and it is impossible to unwrap. I’ve tried my best but I always end up swallowing bits of paper. Until the individual wrapping is changed, I’m not ordering any more of these.
